Avon 3-Day Walk 2009

Back 10 months ago, the concept of getting a group of skaters together to raise money for breast cancer awareness came together. Here we are today, the idea of sponsoring a team of skate moms to do the

Avon 3 Day Breast Cancer Walk is under way. At 5 am this morning I delivered them to their starting point at Lake Lanier. For the next three days they will be walking with 1,000's of others showing their support and commitment to fighting this nasty disease. No easy task, considering the first 20 miles they do today will be in the rain. The event concludes Sunday at Turner Field, at that point they will have walked a total of sixty miles. There were a lot of great accomplishments dealing with this over the past year, who would have thought a group of kids could raise $23,000.00. Today is one of my proudest moments I've had as a business owner and a skater. It just goes to show, with a little help and kindness from others, huge things can happen. Thanks again to everyone for your support and we'll start this up again in January 2010.

You thought this was big, wait til next year!
