Anyone who helped work on the Elaine Yurewich House Remodel will tell you that it was an incredibly rewarding experience. It is an amazing feeling to know that you have truly changed someone's life. It took a lot of time, a lot of effort, and a lot of people to make this story come true, but once it was done, it was crazy to reflect on just how easy it was to make this all come together. It really makes you realize the power you and some friends can have if you're dedicated to a cause.

For those that do not know about the story, Progressive Skatepark led an effort to fully remodel the house belonging to Elaine Yurewich. The idea came about when Elaine's son, Alex, who was a regular at the skatepark, was tragically killed in a car accident. ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition soon thereafter decided to do a show for the family of the driver of the car that Alex was killed in as he, too, was killed. After it aired, though, many people throughout the community took true offense to the fact that Alex was never mentioned once throughout the entire program. Something had to be done, and that's where we came in...

We were sure to keep the project well documented. Mike kept of full journal of the remodel from beginning to end and it tells a really cool story.
