And another series is in the history books...

The finals went great, and - as usual - it was crazy close. We had a ton of cool prizes including trophies, medals, hand-painted decks from Kris Markovich, and some kind of weird stuff like hotel slippers and tents from Globe. Oh yeah - and Ron Gamboa (winner of advanced) will be featured in the next Progressive ad in ForTheKrew Magazine!. How is that for a prize!

That being said, I will  give you a hint that the next series will include a prize even better than than that. Stay tuned.

1st through 5th place in each division all received trophies. You can also see the hand-painted decks poking out. This had to be one of the best prize packages we have given out in a while.

Pictured above as the beginners. Blue Wilson (in white) stole the show with good showings every week. I can promise you he will be quite a factor in contests to come.

Lachlan and Shane tied in the finals, but since Lachlan had the lead going into the finals, he took the win. Normally, the winner of intermediate has to skate advanced during the next series, but we never planned on having a 9 year old win intermediate! I guess we might have to leave the decision up to him.

Ron Gamboa had a strong come-from-behind win. For his efforts, you will soon see him in the next issue of ForTheKrew Magazine.

Fresh off a win at TNT, Joey was in normal fashion. He killed it! It is crazy to see how far he has come since he first started coming here back in 2004.

Once more, we would like to thank all of our sponsors: Globe Shoes, Given Skateboards, Monster Energy Drink, and FuelTV,  Chipotle Mexican Grille. It is through their generous donations that we are able to host events like these, so be sure to remember them when you are ready to make your next purchase.
