Hometown Heroes Finals
Fletcher just got back from Los Angeles, California where he competed for the first time in the Hometown Hero's Finals at the X Games. As you can imagine, this has got to be the biggest venue he has ever skated at. This was the same course that all the pros were skating, too.
Fletcher said the course at X Games was amazing but different than most competitions. You only had a couple of hours of practice time before everything got kicked off.
Looking at the picture of the course, you can see there were no small ledges or anything. Everything too some effort to get onto.
He finished 22nd out of 35 skaters from 35 Skateparks around the country. To put this in perspective, though, this year Hometown Heroes had approximately 1500 skaters compete in the qualifiers just for a chance to make it to the finals. So this actually puts Fletcher in 22nd out of 1500 skaters...
Fletcher sends a special thanks to Shak and the crew at HH, Chipolte (Free Food), XGames & Gabe at Podium Dist. (Matix, DVS & Lakai) for the hook up at their Team Facility.
